Warranty

Martes Bike stands behind the quality of its products and provides warranty coverage according to the warranty period applicable to each product.

This Warranty Policy applies in addition to, and does not replace or limit, any mandatory statutory rights available to consumers.

Warranty Period

Unless a different warranty period is stated on the product page, product documentation, or order confirmation, the applicable warranty period is:

[X years] from the original date of purchase.

Different components may have different warranty periods where expressly specified.

What Is Covered

Subject to the applicable warranty terms, the warranty may cover manufacturing defects and defects in materials that occur during normal and intended use.

Examples may include:

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Material defects

  • Structural defects

  • Certain electrical or mechanical component failures

The exact scope of coverage depends on the specific product and component.

What Is Not Covered

The warranty generally does not cover damage caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Accidents or collisions

  • Misuse or abuse

  • Improper assembly

  • Improper installation

  • Unauthorized modification

  • Unauthorized repair

  • Neglect

  • Improper storage

  • Water or moisture damage beyond the product's rated protection

  • Corrosion caused by improper maintenance or environmental exposure

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality

  • Normal degradation of consumable components

Consumable or wear components may include, depending on the product:

  • Brake pads

  • Tires

  • Inner tubes

  • Chains

  • Cassettes

  • Grips

  • Saddles

  • Cables

  • Bearings

  • Other components subject to normal wear

Electric Bikes and Batteries

For electric bicycles and battery-powered products, battery capacity naturally decreases over time and with repeated charging cycles.

A reduction in battery capacity resulting from normal use and aging is generally not considered a manufacturing defect unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly covered by the applicable warranty.

Warranty claims involving batteries may require diagnostic testing.
